Learning Ostomy

along with the bowel sounds I get a ball that you can actually feel and see traveling around through your intestines …. are you sure you don’t have a ’sound recorder’ Pat?  I have window and if I click on Start…accessories….entertainment….I see "sound recorder"….do you have windows? love, Bonnie

Great idea Midas. Boy, that is what drove me to the doctor initially, loud and often painful, bowel sounds.  It was not until 2 years later that we got a diagnosis of CD. I have those sounds too, which can bew very embarrassing sometimes.  My little boy will laugh at me.  I hope no one else can hear them, but I think thats hoping for too much..  :o)

I have loud bowel sounds too …. I always wondered why my gut was complaining about …. !!

I’ve always been told that bowel sounds were a good thing!  So, I would guess that loud bowel sounds are much better than no sounds at all!!  I know that when I go into a flare, I have no bowel sounds at all!  Not a good thing.  Just my 2 cents worth.   Margie

Interesting question.. I can tell im going to have a minor flare if i start getting bad gas/ bowel sounds for no real reason (as in ive been eating regular, ok meals nothing spicy or wierd). ALWAYS happens 1-3 weeks before a flare. Doc never believes me, but i know my own body.

for me…when I had my guts, the high pitched squeaky sounds were the sound of a constriction and the juices and air were trying to get through…at least that is what my doc had said and when they operated that is what they found. Bonnie
