HEllo Larry,  I think you’ve done a great job, I’ve had my ostomy for over 30 years, but only became aware of this site two years ago, and I have to admit there was quit a bit to learn about being an ostomate, and there’s no better way to learn than through our letters and advice you graciously share. Do keep up the good work, for myself and I know for others, you can never learn to much when it comes to you giving advice and tips on our ostomies.

I have read your postings and think they are very valuable to any and all ostomates.

I think you’re confusing his postings with his website.  Larry’s web site may be chock-full of great info, but his _postings_ are nothing but ads for his site. SD

How about posting the information here with the URL of your web site in your sig?  That way, you would be posting actual content to this newsgroup and plugging your web site at the same time. SD

Hello Larry, I am very happy that you give the info on your website. I am far from a newbie and yet I still find your website very helpful. Thanks for sharing:) Sandi

Hi Larry—     I copied my post under the "Social Life" thread. I felt it would be good for you to read it—————     Best to you Ron Hi–     Larry’s group works long hours to hunt up, and process articles that have helped many Ostomates.     They have a website for the Ostomy Chapter that they are in, and it also is a handy "tips" spot for people.     It’s a big whole lot of work. A whole lot, and does not leave time for chatting on the newsgroup.     I know, because I built an Ostomy Website for our Chapter, was Webmaster for some years.     Man, talk about a  lot of hours of work—wow!!!     With declining health, I turned it over to a new webmaster.     I hope I have shed some light on the time it consumes. Not any time for much else.     And Larry has helped a (whole) lot of people.     I hope this sheds some light as to why they pass on articles that they work to put up on their Ostomy Website.     They mean it as helpful, with little time to chat.     Best—- Ron     I would never want to be webmaster again, copying articles, scanning, proof reading, spelling corrections,     modifying into HTML code, uploading to the internet site, re-scanning the new pages on the website, inserting links to "go back" or "previous article" or whatever, also loading them up to the website newly imbedded into the previous articles uploaded, downloading again to check for format, or missing page links, correcting the type of type as needed, and font, and on and on and on.  I know, because I built an Ostomy Website for our Chapter, was Webmaster for some years.  It’s a big whole lot of work. A whole lot, and does not leave time for chatting on the newsgroup, or much else, for that matter.     A true work of love…………………. It’s kinda like giving up your life to help other people. Not kinda—–It Is!!!!!!! Jimbo <noze4n…@earthlink.net> wrote in message

Larry, I believe that MOST of us who come here regularly have greatly benefited from your various methods of participation.  I find your links to your newsletter and sites to be informative, uplifting and at times comforting.  You deserve praise for your efforts at all levels, IMHO. As far as the sour grapes, need I quote "opinions are like as***es…" Methinks we ALL are overqualified in such instances <LOL>               ;-Deano
