Hunting for Greek speaking Ostamate in the Chicago area
Question:
Hi— This is an unusual one, but in our Ostomy Visitor Program we have an ostomate who only speaks Greek. We wish to help him and hope we can find a similar ostomate in the Chicago area. Any help would be appreciated—- Thanks– Royg

I’m sure you already tried this, but if not, Royg, what about the Orthodox churches in the Chicago area? Speak directly to the priest or their secretaries to get the message to them. They know who is who, and what, etc. in their parishes and if anyone is available, the priests could expedite contact. Even if not a church member, but Greek speaking, the priests will know. Trust me. Good luck. Hi— By luck, yesterday I asked the cashier at the restruant I eat each weekend. It is Greek owned. Come to find out, her uncle has a colostomy, and this am, she gave me the name and phone no. of his gastro surgeon who speaks Greek and English. So it looks like we can help this fellow out. Thanks for your idea, it is an excellent one, I’ll keep it in my mind for any similar future case like this—- Roy
